All about cycling in the Netherlands
Side by side view of the old and the new situation of a street in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands).
In the old situation it was a service road used by cyclists and drivers. In the new situation it is a so-called cycle street where cars are guests. The brick road surface was changed into the red asphalt normal for cycle paths. The surface is a lot smoother than before and the road has become a bit clearer and straighter. No parking spaces were lost for cars.
