Sustainable Urban Mobility – Online Course

Professor Dr Robin Hickman from London asked me to participate in a video for an upcoming online course on Sustainable Urban Mobility. Professor Hickman is the director of University College London’s Bartlett School of Planning. In October 2019 he came to Utrecht with cameraman Matt Aucott, who also edited the videos. Professor Hickmann interviewed me about the reconstruction of the Croeselaan. This used to be a 4-lane main arterial that was turned into a linear park. I had already talked about this road in a Streetfilms video earlier.

The videos are produced in cooperation with TUMI (Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative) and GiZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit).

The first course is planned for November 2020 and will be available via https://www.futurelearn.com/

Some of the case study videos that belong to this course are already available on the Sustainable Urban mobility YouTube channel. The case studies showcase a number of countries and cities. Here I will show you the videos about examples from the Netherlands, other videos show examples from Germany, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Tanzania, the UK and China.
